Evonik and evitria launch CHO expression kit for faster biologics development

18 juli 2026
Evonik has partnered with Swiss antibody expression specialist evitria to launch a ready-to-use CHO cell-based protein expression kit aimed at accelerating early-stage biologics development.

The new eviCHO Expression Kit is designed to simplify transient protein expression, a widely used approach for rapidly producing antibodies and other proteins during research without the need to generate stable cell lines. Based on CHO-K1 cells, the kit provides ready-to-use components and validated protocols, helping researchers reduce troubleshooting and achieve more consistent protein production.
The collaboration combines evitria's expertise in CHO-based transient expression with Evonik's portfolio of chemically defined bioprocessing ingredients and precision biosolutions. According to the companies, the kit enables faster and more reliable protein production, helping biopharmaceutical developers shorten early R&D timelines.
For Evonik, the partnership expands its Advance Precision Biosolutions portfolio, which supports pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing with non-animal-derived raw materials and process solutions. The collaboration follows a previous partnership with recombinant protein developer InVitria, further strengthening Evonik's offering for next-generation biomanufacturing.
